"Don't get too big for your britches...  remember where you came from"

Boot & Tree owner, Kristen Cady, came from humble beginnings in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Raised mostly by her mother and grandmothers, she learned from them conventional wisdom, a love for people, and being giving to others. She became an Entertainer in the French Quarter, working for 22 years at a destination dueling piano bar. Kristen is a songwriter and recording artist, and has also written a children’s book. She and her two children started this business as a family hoping to bring them closer, learn about business, the ins and outs of coffee from farm to cup, and build relationships and communication with those around them making a better world in their own humble way. We remember who we are.
