Like the leaves on the branches of the 350-year-old Sallier Oak Tree in Lake Charles, Louisiana help feed the trunk and roots, so does our states' people come together to infuse our culture with varied foods, language, music, values, beliefs and customs. We love to share this uniqueness with the world by visiting with one another. It doesn't really matter if we know you or not. We'll invite you in and expect you to stay at least long enough to have a nice cup of coffee or tea, and a conversation about how y'all are!
