Why Buy
Choosing between Quality and Quantity is unnecessary in this day and age...
The age old adage, "you have to make choices between quality OR quantity" no longer applies. You really CAN have it all. Scroll down to see how.
LET'S COMPARE
Coffee Shop vs. Boot & Tree
A medium cup of coffee costs an average of $3.28 and is subpar as the beans have been in a storage facility/warehouse/shipping truck, or grocery shelf for an undetermined time before ever reaching your cup. Boot & Tree costs approximately 27 cents a cup for the freshest roasted beans and highest quality.
A fair amount of larger companies double roast their lighter coffee beans to consciously reduce cost and provide a consistently flavored product; however, this process over roasts the beans producing a burnt taste. Boot & Tree chooses top quality Arabica beans, and handcrafts each batch according to the degree of roast that brings out the premium flavor of the bean.
In spite of efforts to move to more environmentally friendly coffee shop paper and plastic products, the reality remains that 8 million tons of plastic and 6 billion cups per year still ends up in landfills because we don't actually put the recyclable materials where they belong, nor do we wash out the ceramic/plastic reusable mugs. In our family, we were always taught "waste not, want not." If we really want to help reduce our imprint on the planet and save our pocketbooks from looking so empty, making coffee at home is the better choice.
This fast-paced world has produced short-lived, superficial acquaintance type relationships. Although we see our baristas, sometimes on a daily basis, there is a depth of connection that is never reached as it could be over a long conversation with a cup of coffee or tea and a neighbor. Boot and Tree encourages joining the grassroots movement towards neighbors visiting with each other again. Brew a pot of coffee and get to know the people around you.
